It's Good to be Home
by Don and Rhoda
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew [their] strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; [and] they shall walk, and not faint.
Isa 40:31
It began in 1980, our life in Milwaukee. We had just come from Montana to pastor Faith Baptist Church. Even now, after several years, we remember the blessings, the growth of the church, a move to the building that we currently meet in, and praise the Lord, we will soon make another move to our new building.
In 1992, I resigned and our son-in-law, Dr. Dean Noonan, became the pastor. For the next ten years, my wife and I helped a sister church in the area. By this time, our four children were married and scattered in different cities across the country. During the spring of 2002, Pastor Noonan asked us to come back and work at Faith Baptist Church. What a joy to be able to see God work through us at the place where we once were, and to see God use our pastor in our lives. Praise the Lord, even as we advance in age, God is able to use us. To those who find themselves in their senior years, you are welcome at Faith Baptist Church and in the Gideons Sunday School class which I teach every Sunday morning.
